After finishing their Pastoral duties at Wyoming Baptist Church in December of 2010 the Lord led Rev.Luis and Elsie Centeno to start a house church in the basement of their home. In 2015, they officially became Barnabas Transformation Ministries. In 2021, they merged with Igelsia De Barrio and are now known as Barnabas Transformation Barrio Church. Rev.Luis Centeno is still the Lead Pastor at BTBC.

In January 2022, Rev Luis and his wife Elsie retire from their mission board InFaith whom they have served under as missionaries to the Inner City of Philadelphia for over 50 years. They have also started a new Non-Profit organization called Centeno Ministry. This will allow them to continue to do missions across the street and around the world. Since 2007, Josiah has served the body of Christ in multiple ways as both a minister and a missionary. After six year of pioneering a Church plant in Camden, New Jersey, God called him to support his parents at Barnabas Transformation Barrio Church. As he embraces the role of an overseer at BTBC, his focus will be on equipping and empowering the people of God to fulfill the great commission.
